“7 Therefore do not be partakers with them; 8 for you were formerly darkness, but now you are Light in the Lord; walk as children of Light 9 (for the fruit of the Light consists in all goodness and righteousness and truth), 10 trying to learn what is pleasing to the Lord.” Ephesians 5:7-10
On April 29, 2016, seven teens met at the Westchester Church of Christ for their first church lock-in. Games were played, movies watched, and bonds formed. That night, we discussed the possibility of a new teen youth group. A team of hardworking, fun adolescents ready to serve the Lord. And thus The Walking Believers were established.
We, The Walking Believers, have grown much since that day, and following the theme of Ephesians 5:7-10, we spend every other Friday studying God’s word and it’s association with our teen lives. We also dedicate time to serving our community, feeding those in need, attending empowerment events and workshops, and learning leadership skills.
